About the Role

The Advanced NDT Inspector is responsible for conducting specialized Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques to assess the integrity of critical components and structures in the Oil and Gas industry. The inspector will ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications while maintaining safety and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform advanced NDT inspections using techniques such as Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), Eddy Current Testing (ECT), and Digital Radiography (DR).

Analyze and interpret test results to detect defects or discontinuities in welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, and other critical structures.

Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations (API, ASNT, ISO, ASTM, etc.).

Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and quality control personnel to develop and execute inspection plans.

Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accurate results.

Conduct risk assessments and follow safety protocols in hazardous environments.

Train and mentor junior NDT inspectors and technicians as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Advanced NDT inspections in the Oil and Gas industry.

  • Certification in Conventional NDT methods (minimum Level II in UT, MT, PT, RT, VT) as per ASNT, ISO 9712, or equivalent.

  • Advanced NDT Certifications (one or more required):

    • Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) Level II or III

    • Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) Level II or III

    • Eddy Current Testing (ECT) Level II or III

    • Digital Radiography (DR) Level II

  • API 510, API 570, or API 653 certification (preferred).

  • CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or PCN Level 2/3 (preferred).

  • Radiation Safety Certification (if applicable to RT methods).

  • Offshore survival training (BOSIET/HUET) and H2S Awareness (if working offshore).


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, codes, and standards.

  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in challenging environments (offshore, refineries, pipelines).

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality control.


Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel for field assignments and offshore projects.

  • Ability to work in high-risk and confined space environments.

  • Physical fitness to meet job demands (e.g., climbing, lifting, and extended fieldwork).
